Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt
We are doing our best to find a good balance of activities and self entertainment around here. We weren’t very successful at having a daily schedule. Instead, we have a few things up our sleeve each day so that when the kids need to transition from one thing, or are struggling to get along, we can easily pivot (if you read that PIVOOOOT and saw Ross from FRIENDS holding a couch in a stairwell, you are my people).
Any reason to be outside right now is so necessary, so we went on a scavenger hunt yesterday and the kids loved it! We walked a really long way without them even realizing because they were so busy looking for things. We added in some education by having our 6 year old read the list to see what we were looking for and both kids were identifying numbers when talking about which line to cross off.
Add to the fun by giving each kid a clipboard and a highlighter!
Overall, it was a quarantine win! You can download your printable Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt here. Have fun and tag me if you play! @chelseycorazza
