…………………………………………………………………...
It is essential for women to understand what this is and how it can help their bodies at all stages of life, from their first cycle through their fertile years and all the way through menopause. Ladies - for our quality of life and for our families, HEAR THIS, it is important.
Let's talk hormones!
..............................................................
First up is progesterone.
What it is: Progesterone plays a role in maintaining pregnancy. (If you've had difficulty in this area, PLEASE take heart and listen to the hope that is going to be offered).
Progesterone is produced in the ovaries, the placenta (when a woman gets pregnant) and the adrenal glands. It helps prepare your body for conception and pregnancy and regulates the monthly menstrual cycle. It also plays a role in sexual desire.
..............................................................
Too much progesterone:
High progesterone levels are believed to be partly responsible for symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), such as breast tenderness, feeling bloated and mood swings. When you skip a period, it could be because of failure to ovulate and subsequent low progesterone levels.
Too much progesterone can also cause breast tenderness, depression, fatigue, low sex drive, vaginal dryness, and more. Causes include low estrogen levels found in menopause.
..............................................................
Not enough progesterone:
Without enough progesterone to complement it, estrogen may become the dominant hormone. This may lead to a variety of symptoms, including:
• weight gain
• decreased sex drive, mood swings, and depression
• PMS, irregular menstrual cycle, heavy bleeding
• breast tenderness, fibrocystic breasts
• gallbladder problems
thyroid dysfunction
Basically, things start to hit the fan for us women when our hormones are out of whack. And this is just the beginning! Listen up.
..............................................................
Moving on to estrogen!
"Estrogen" is the group of estrogenic hormones are uniquely responsible for the growth and development of female sexual characteristics and reproduction in both humans and animals. The term "estrogen" includes a group of chemically similar hormones: estrone, estradiol (the most abundant in women of reproductive age) and estriol. Overall, estrogen is produced in the ovaries, adrenal glands and fat tissues. More specifically, the estradiol and estrone forms are produced primarily in the ovaries in premenopausal women, while estriol is produced by the placenta during pregnancy.
Stay with me.
In women, estrogen circulates in the bloodstream and binds to estrogen receptors on cells in targeted tissues, affecting not only the breasts and uterus, but also the brain, bone, liver, heart and other tissues.
..............................................................
Not enough estrogen:
When estrogen levels are low, as in menopause, the vagina can become drier and the vaginal walls thinner, making sex painful.
Additionally, the lining of the urethra, the tube that brings urine from the bladder to the outside of the body, thins. A small number of women may experience an increase in urinary tract infections (UTIs) that can be improved with the use of vaginal estrogen therapy.
Oh, and all this junk too:
- Hot flashes
-Fatigue
-Headaches/migraines
-Night sweats
-Vaginal and/or bladder infections
-Incontinence
-UTIs
-Forgetfulness
-Insomnia
-Poor concentration
-Decreased verbal skills
-Irregular bleeding
-Testosterone imbalance (which leads to a host of other problems)
-Lower libido
-Osteoperosis
-Rapid heartbeat
-Depression
-Anxiety
-Emotional instability
-Feelings of despair
-Crying easily
..............................................................
When you have too much estrogen, that's no bueno either. (Are you seeing our body's need for BALANCE?!)
Symptoms of high estrogen include:
• bloating
• swelling and tenderness in the breasts
• decreased sex drive
• irregular menstrual periods
• headaches
• mood swings
• fibrocystic developments in the breast
• weight gain
• hair loss
• cold hands or feet
• feeling tired or lacking energy
• difficulty with memory
• trouble sleeping
increased symptoms of premenstrual syndrome or PMS
..............................................................
For our fertility, for our HAPPINESS, for our body's overall function, we NEED to be in balance. Our families will thank us.
That is where Progessence Plus comes into play.
Every woman should be using this serum. Every. Single. Woman.
Dr. Haggerton, a friend of mine who ROCKS and does amazing information videos for us every single day, has a whole lot to say about Progessence Plus. In his words: "Progessence Plus supports hormone balance and helps women's bodies be even more amazing than they already are."
..............................................................
He laid out exactly what Progessence Plus is. It's a serum. It is made up of:
-Miconized progesterone from wild yam complex
-Vitamin E (antioxidant)
-Essential oil blend, including: peppermint, copaiba, frankincense, bergamot, clove, cedarwood, and rosewood
-Coconut oil
It is better than other progesterone creams because:
-it contains no synthetic crap that does more harm than good
-The delivery system (essential oils help it to give us a higher absorption rate)
-You don't have to constantly change up the application
He recommends putting it on our wrists and either side of our neck.
..............................................................

Endoflex
Endoflex is an oil I've heard great things about, but if we're being honest...I grabbed it MONTHS ago on an ER order, smelled it, then it put it in the cupboard and forgot about it. So let's talk about this gem, because it's out of the cupboard, for good! Stick with me...this is a long one, but it's a quick science lesson ending with hormone balance...totally worth reading.
Endoflex is a blend of Spearmint, Sage, Geranium, Myrtle, Nutmeg, and German Chamomile. I can't really pinpoint the smell, it's kind of earthy, but the Spearmint comes through for a lighter smell that's not overly minty.
You might be thinking...great work, Chelsey, you didn't sell me with its smell! I know...sit tight...let's first talk about the Endocrine system for a hot second. The Endocrine System is the group of glands (hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, parathyroids, adrenal glands, pineal, reproductive glands (including ovaries), and pancreas) that are responsible for producing hormones to regulate you.
Those hormones are in charge of metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, mood, progesterone and testosterone production, and more. Basically, if your Endocrine system is off, you can feel it in LOTS of different ways...(to name a few) headaches, intense menstrual cramps, hot flashes, excess fatigue, or digestive issues anyone?
Endoflex is great to help support the Endocrine System by providing hormonal balance, and promoting a healthy weight and metabolism. It also stimulates relaxation and emotional balance in the mind and what woman couldn't use some more emotional balance? #amiright
A quick breakdown of the oils in Endoflex:
Spearmint: Promotes healthy metabolism and digestion. Supports the respiratory and nervous system.
Sage: Fights mental fatigue and promotes a healthy metabolism.
Nutmeg: Contains anti-inflammatory properties and supports the adrenal gland.
German Chamomile: Promotes healthy liver function and contains anti-inflammatory properties.
Geranium: Promotes a healthy liver, contains antioxidant, sedative, anti-inflammatory, and antidepressant properties.
Myrtle: Decongestant, antibacterial, and promotes a healthy respiratory system.
Where to apply it: Over your thyroid, which is in your neck...do a quick Google image search if you need an exact location. You can apply it neat, or make a roller whichever your skin prefers! You can also apply it to the vita flex point on your feet.
So to sum it up...get yourself some!! This has become part of my daily morning routine because my body needs all of the balance it can get!
